Testimonials

“This place was born to be a yoga studio. A circular “8-petaled” window looks down over the altar, and there is a rooftop open to everyone for meditation and reflection. A lending library features books on all sorts of spiritual topics. Pristine cubby holes with glass doors were already there waiting when the team moved in. And the sense of community, and a feeling of belonging, is immediately evident.” –YogaCityNYC

“The FSYS philosophy–that yoga should be healing, strengthening, educational, fun and one should, above all, feel good upon leaving the class–aligns with my reasons for making yoga my life-long practice. With every class you take at FSYS, it is immediately evident that all their teachers fall into a similar vein in their teaching practice, while bringing, to the table, their very own delightful style of maximizing the benefits of yoga for each class and each student. To echo a fellow new teacher, they are also some of the friendliest, most personable teachers I’ve had the pleasure of studying with. Though I’m not yet a teacher at FSYS, I’m delighted to be associated with this community.” — Carol Crump, TT Graduate

“The yoga teacher training I got froa Sarah Coleman and Shaun Granato was as exquisite as it was coprehensive. They’re both true triple threats: great practitioners, great instructors, and great teachers. It’s obvious that Sarah lives the principles of yoga as she teaches–she is joyful, wise, extremely experienced and, best of all, an inspirational example to her students. Shaun’s classes are among the best I have taken in my life. He is able to teach advanced poses and integrate strength training in a way that future teachers should aspire to imitate. Both are approachable and bring out the very best in their students. Anyone who wants to teach yoga would be lucky to follow these two down the eight limbed path”. — Mattie Hawkinson, TT Graduate
