Are miracles possible? This past summer I stumbled upon a book (true story) from the early 1900’s about a Nobel Prize winning medical doctor named Alexis Karrel, a scientist and skeptic who had heard countless stories of spontaneous healings at the healing waters of Lourdes in France.

Dr. Karrel went to investigate and see what these crazies were babbling about. In front of his very eyes, he saw a woman instantly healed from the brink of death. And he was forever transformed into a believer. This is the subject I’ll weave into my upcoming weekend workshops at Yoga Center of Minneapolis.

Do you, like me, have a hard time loosening your grip on life? Do you work too hard, email too much, and not leave enough time in the day for magic, belief, optimism? I’ll share with you many mindbending stories including miracles from the healing waters of Lourdes, France, examples of strange indigenous people who have discovered the secrets to staying young deep into their 90’s, and a crazy chef who’s figured out how to pack incredible flavor into the tiniest bite. Mixed with exotic Vosges chocolate, fine wine, naughty humor, great tunes and flowing yoga, this will be a weekend which will remind you, “Miracles happen to those who believe in them!”

Rockin tunes, a splash of wine, a little inspiration, and the magic of optimism. Note: Wine tasting is after class, not before. Price of admission is for the yoga workshop only. Yoga + Chocolate (V 3.0)
Saturday, Aug 28 | 3pm-5pm | $50
Where: Downtown Minneapolis Studio

In the West, we associate love with the quality of our relationship. The yogis believe love moves naturally through the universe. If you are open, love moves through you. If you’re closed, it doesn’t. Rumi said, “Don’t seek for love. Seek to find and remove the barriers you’ve built against love.” In this 2-hour vinyasa flow class set to inspiring music from the Grateful Dead to Erykah Badu, David Romanelli will cover issues related to love including the broken heart, the pain chamber, the obsessive tendencies of the newly in-love, and much more. If you’re wondering why the heck would you listen to David Romanelli about such issues, consider reading the chapter in his book where his soon-to-be ex girlfriend receives an adjustment in the happy baby pose and loves it. His days in the pain chamber are long and hard. Maybe you too would like to celebrate love for all its pain and glory.

Yoga + Chocolate: Stretch, Salivate, Savor
Sunday, Aug 29 | 10am-12pm | $50
Where: Downtown Minneapolis Studio

Would you rather 100 bland bites of an orange or one deliciously amazing bite? Would you rather live for 80 years of so-so happiness or 57 years of ecstatic joy? Would you exchange 50 less than average yoga classes for 1 yoga class you’d remember forever? All too often we waste energy worrying, fearing, avoiding and in the process numbing ourselves to the joys of living in the moment. In this Deep Stretch yoga class, you will get some juicy tips, stories, and stretches all serving as a reminder of a powerful Chinese proverb: “Enjoy yourself…it’s later than you think.”

This weekend is open to anyone with yoga experience, comfortable with vinyasa flow.
